“Będzie cudownie (Olifant)” was created in collaboration with musician and vocalist Mateusz Franczak, whose melancholic musical arrangement provides the song with its wistful atmosphere. The lyrics reference Świetliki’s song “Olifant” and were written by Pola Dwurnik, inspired by an authentic exchange of messages with a friend on Facebook. The visual backdrop of the video consists of a slow-moving close-up of one of Pola Dwurnik’s artworks: a panoramic view of Warsaw composed from fragments of vintage Polish postage stamps. Just as stamp collecting has largely become a thing of the past, Facebook, too, increasingly belongs to a bygone era.

Written at a time when figurative and portrait painting had not yet regained the prominence it enjoys in the contemporary art world, Ama Painter is a hip-hop-inspired manifesto of Pola Dwurnik’s artistic confidence and belief in the power of her painting. The song draws on the tradition of braggadocio, the rap genre of self-assertion and bold self-praise, while transforming it into a celebration of self-acceptance rather than superiority. At the same time, its ego trip is infused with self-irony. Much of the video was filmed in New South Wales, Australia.

Lekarz takes the form of an erotic ballad. Pola Dwurnik drew inspiration for its lyrics from a Facebook post, in which a young woman complained that her mother was trying to set her up with a doctor. Visually, the animation makes a clear reference to the music video for Pink Floyd’s Another Brick in the Wall. At the same time, the video incorporates allusions to contemporary events taking place when it was created. Among them is the ruined façade of the Polish Theatre in Wrocław, referencing the 2015 controversy surrounding Krystian Lupa’s planned production of Death and the Maiden, which became the subject of a widely publicized cultural and political dispute.

Jeż Song (Patrz na to zimno jak w nuty) has the character of a dystopian prophecy of apocalypse. The entire video is constructed from close-up shots of the stone floor of the BWA Gallery in Kalisz. Filmed in such a way, the surface resembles vast landscapes seen from a satellite or drone, evoking an aerial view of the world.
